Meet The Preschool Teachers & Staff
Mrs. Hay is the lead Preschool teacher. Prior to that, she taught Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 3rd grade at PCA. She and her husband have 3 children who have all graduated from PCA.

Mrs. Morby joined the Preschool staff as an assistant. Prior to that, she taught 1st and 2nd grades at PCA.
She and her husband have 3 children who have graduated from PCA.

Mrs. Mistele joined the preschool staff as an assistant Prior to that she taught 2nd grade and served as a substitute teacher at PCA. She and her husband have two PCA graduates.

Mrs. Yakuber joined the preschool staff as an assistant. Prior to that she served as a long time PCA parent volunteer and as a substitute teacher in Early Childhood classrooms at PCA. She and her husband have three PCA graduates.

Mrs. Newsome has been teaching since 2011 as a kindergarten and 1st grade teacher. She and her husband Greg have two sons.

Mrs. Pugh joined the PCA faculty as the Begindergarten Assistant. She completed extensive coursework in education at Eastern Michigan University and has experience teaching in the BSF preschool program. She and her husband Kyle have 2 children at PCA.

Meet The Early Childhood Coordinator for Preschool & Begindergarten
Mrs. Varney has served as a Preschool teacher. In 1988, she became the Early Childhood Coordinator, overseeing the Preschool and Begindergarten programs and working with the State of Michigan to license these programs. In addition to her role with the Plymouth Christian Academy administration, she has also served as Admissions Director at PCA and recently retired as Director of Children’s Ministries at Calvary Baptist Church.
