Welcome to PCA, Mrs. Sherry Parrot

PCA is thrilled to welcome Mrs. Sherry Parrott as the new elementary STEM Lab teacher. In addition to her position at PCA, she is also the full-time Director of Children’s Ministry at Compass Christian Church in Livonia, MI, where she has been since 2014. Prior to her time in Michigan, she served as the Children’s Minister for the Prairie Grove Christian Church, Prairie Grove, AR (2008-2014), Curriculum Consultant and Curriculum Developer for College Press Publishing Company (2003-2009), and Professor of Christian Education and Children’s Ministry at Ozark Christian College (1997-2008). She was also owner/operator of a Christian preschool for four years in Southern Illinois (1993-1997).

Sherry is originally from Cedar Rapids, IA, and holds a Bachelor of Biblical Literature and a Bachelor of Theology degrees from Ozark Christian College (1990) and a Master of Religious Education and a Master of Practical Ministries degrees from Cincinnati Bible Seminary (1992). Sherry has two children who were both homeschooled. Jonathan is 24 and married to his wife Sydney. He is in graduate school preparing to be a licensed counselor. Karysa is 20 and is a junior at Johnson University in Knoxville, TN, preparing to be a secondary English and literature teacher. Sherry has a deep love for children and is passionate about leading them to a closer relationship with God that will serve as a foundation for the rest of their lives.
