We want to hear from you!

Dear Faithful PCA Families,
As we prepare for a safe and promising return to school on August 24th, we are in high gear, ready to open Preschool through 12th grade with the same passion and educational quality you have come to expect from Plymouth Christian Academy. We are dedicated to making school feel as normal as possible, given the state of Michigan’s requirements and recommendations.

With school rapidly approaching and information changing, often by the hour, we sincerely appreciate your patience and spirit of unity, grace, and love! In uncertain times, while detailed plans are developing and new challenges emerge, we want answers. We want information. Walking into the unknown will likely bring changes we cannot anticipate, and it may be frustrating at times, understandably so. Times like these prompt us to reflect and re-center on our purpose and mission to serve this generation of students. At the heart of our mission is the unwavering commitment to provide the highest quality education and exceptional spiritual care and comfort for your young people. What a privilege it is to share this responsibility with you!

While we continue to follow the mandates of our state to ensure our school community’s health and safety, we are planning for plenty of opportunities to connect in meaningful and engaging ways throughout the year. Our goal is to maintain a balance between preventing viral transmission and providing young people with the Christ-centered education, social connections, physical activity, spiritual formation, and overall mental health benefits provided through the reopening of our campus. Through physical modifications, enhanced safety protocols, and layers of safety precautions, PCA’s Reopening Task Force continues to align with the latest health information and best practices to ensure that students enjoy a safe and vibrant school experience. The Task Force includes members from the school and church leadership, key faculty members, parents, health professionals, and the science community. The following teams meet weekly to share research and provide detailed analysis and planning on how best to provide a safe and healthy learning environment: Instructional Program Task Force, Student Life & Logistics Task Force, Health and Safety Task Force, Nurturing Community Task Force.

Our teachers are spending their summer preparing and growing with new technology, tools, and resources to ensure our students excel. No matter what, we stand ready for whatever lies ahead. Our teams have been continuously adjusting to the unprecedented times we are living in right now, and we want to understand the ways that COVID 19 has affected your families. We would appreciate your taking a few minutes to complete the following short survey. Our goal is to outline a comprehensive, detailed plan for our community in the first week of August.

We care deeply about each of you. We are extremely blessed with a dynamic community made up of dedicated faculty and staff, supportive and engaged parents, and amazing students. Thank you for being a part of our community and participating in this survey.

In Him,
Caryn Huntsman
Superintendent/Secondary Principal

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7
