“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.” Matthew 5:13-15
I love these verses because it creates such a great visual for kids to really understand the work of Christ. Salt adds flavor and with light we can see. Plymouth Christian Academy teaches students to live out their faith and be an example of Christ in the world. This passage is a reminder that we are to show the greatness of Jesus to others. Ask your child how they can be Salt and Light at home, at church and in the world.
I’m praying for you!
Mr. Batson
