PCA’s robotics team, The Atoms Family-Team 4405, is joining together with robotics teams from across the state of Michigan. Why are they joining forces? They are doing it to provide needed equipment to protect our health care workers in the fight against COVID-19. Working with the Novi High School Team, Frog Force 503, PCA’s team, Team 4405, will begin printing face shields using their own 3D printers and materials. The Novi team, Frog Force 503 has provided the template and instructions and shared those with teams across the state. You can learn more about that by visiting their website HERE.

Beginning immediately, Mr. Doug Chubb, Team 4405 Coach & Mentor, will be spending time in the team’s workspace in downtown Plymouth and printing these shields. The team is now trying to determine how the students can get involved while keeping them safely in their own homes. That may come in the form of cutting out the shields and assembling them.

Stay tuned as we follow this story.
