PCA High School Choir & Women’s Ensemble Earned the Highest Ranking

District Festival 2020

On March 11th, 2020, PCA High School Choir & PCA Women’s Ensemble participated in MSVMA (Michigan School Vocal Music Association) District Choral Festival, receiving straight 1’s in both sight-reading and performance.  A “1” is the highest level awarded and earned them the opportunity to perform at the State festival. (Unfortunately, due to the current situation with COVID-19, the State competition has been canceled).  We are so grateful that our students had the opportunity to perform in the District Festival before schools were closed this past week.
The PCA High School Choir sang Connected by Tate, an upbeat piece with a pop-like feel and At Twilight, a somber but inquisitive piece about the state of the world between day and night. Women’s Ensemble performed Never One Thing, an anthem about the many things we are as humans and women, and Festive Alleluia, a piece meant to praise the Lord in song.
