Painting Class Virtual Art Exhibit Spring 2020

In the final episode of the Plymouth Christian Academy Virtual Art Exhibits this spring, we are proud to feature our High School Painting Class. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to showcase the work of our secondary art students through video during this unusual end to the school year.

There were a total of 13 students who enrolled in the Painting Class for 2020 and they gained experience working with acrylics and water colors prior to the quarantine. All students learned about planning, sketching, and preparing their papers and canvasses. During this class, we touched on the classic subjects – still life, portraits, and landscapes. Many of the students explored some modern / abstract subjects as well. Some of the works that were done in response to the quarantine captured the emotional struggles that the students were going through. You can view their virtual art exhibit below.

PCA has many talented artists who created some wonderful pieces. I am so proud of them – thank you students, for making this a remarkable place to teach.
