MSBOA District Solo & Ensemble 2018

On Saturday, February 3, High School band members participated in MSBOA District Solo & Ensemble, held at Livonia Franklin High School. Eleven students participated in the event and each represented Plymouth Christian Academy with dignity, class, and grace.

Students are assessed on their tone, intonation, technique, rhythm, and musical interpretation. Afterwards, the adjudicator rates the student(s) I-V (highest-lowest). To learn more about this rating system, you can visit their website HERE.

Receiving a medal, a rating of a “I”, and qualification for State Solo & Ensemble:

    Hannah Askew – Clarinet Solo
    Isabel Mossel – Violin Solo
    Isabel Mossel & Sarah Fernandes – Violin Duet
    Sarah Fernandes – Violin Solo
    Jenae Ross – Marimba Solo
    Jenae Ross – Violin Solo

Receiving a medal and a rating of a “II”:

    Christopher Bilko – Trumpet Solo
    Luisa Ligon – Trombone Solo
    Eric Moore & Devin Potrykus – Snare Drum Duet
    Luke Pohl – Marimba Solo
    Luke Pohl & Jenae Ross – Marimba Duet
    Brendan Schmucker – Trumpet Solo
