International German Olympics

Congratulations to Paul Chamberlain, who earned one of only 14 places to compete in the national finals of the Internationale Deutscholympiade (the International German Olympics, sponsored by the German government and the Goethe-Institut). The finals were held last weekend, December 4 and 5, at the Goethe-Institut in Chicago. Students competed to solve tasks in the style of an “Olympic pentathlon” that tests listening skills, reading skills, writing, creativity, and presentation. Though Paul was not one of the two finalists, he competed well and had a great time. We’re proud of how he represented himself and PCA. Congratulations to Paul on this great honor to make it to the national finals!
