Dear PCA Family & Friends,
We have embarked on a new journey together, as a nation, as a school family, and as brothers and sisters in Christ. As we approach Easter weekend, we will gather, not in our churches, but around our devices or our flat screen tv’s to celebrate the work of Christ on the cross. Just a few short months ago, I would never have dreamed that Easter services would be canceled. But don’t miss the message – the promises of Easter can never be canceled! When Jesus fell under the weight of the cross and carried our sins in His body, He kept His promise. When He conquered death and rose again on the third day, He kept His promise. We have nothing to fear because the same God that raised Jesus from the dead is the same Almighty who is aware of a lowly sparrow that falls to the ground.
I want to invite you to take a moment to worship with some of our faculty, alumni, students, and parents as they share how greatly God cares for His children when they experience pain and suffering. In this video, you will see them reflecting God’s beauty in song. When asked if they would share their heart through music, they sang, “Why should I feel discouraged, Jesus is my portion, His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.” We are blessed beyond measure with a school family whose hearts overflow with joy and song because they’re happy!
As you listen and we worship together, but apart, our prayer is that you won’t be plagued by worry and fear. We can trust in God, no matter what we face. We can sing and be happy and commit our needs to Him.
“I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Luke 12:4-7 NIV
Blessings and Peace,
Mrs. Caryn Huntsman
