An Encouraging Word

Date: May 21, 2016 Tags: School NewsIn today’s society, I have noticed that our lives are so fast paced that important things that matter and should be done in our lives are not done. As parents, we must take the time to train our children in the little things that matter to people. One of those things is writing cards of appreciation to people who have done something for us or given us something. This can be done by having thank you notes, addresses and stamps readily available. When something happens in our life that has encouraged us, helped us or provided something for us, we should recognize and show appreciation. For our children, making a template for them so that they know how to start the thank you note will help. Showing appreciation by recognizing what they have done for you shows them respect and tells them you noticed. Let’s help our children take the time to show gratitude. When we train our children to show gratitude to others, we are training them for life! “Be thankful unto Him and bless His name.” Psalm 100:4
I am praying for you,
Mrs. Huntsman
