Cellphones for Soldiers

The high school robotics team has chosen “Cellphones for Soldiers” as their community project this year. We wanted to give you some information to make you are aware of what these boxes are for when you see them at the front desks.

Cellphones for Soldiers is a national non-profit that provides cost-free communications and emergency funding to active-duty military members and veterans.

For more detailed information, click here: https://www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com/about-us/. If you have an old phone or mobile device that you no longer use, they will either be refurbished or recycled and the proceeds will go toward repairs or phone cards for soldiers. Chargers and accessories are also welcomed to donate. Donation boxes will also be located with some of our local sponsors as well: Ford Headquarters, Computer Forest Solutions, and Stanley Black and Decker, and the Plymouth Arts and Recreation Building (PARC) office. If a device is refurbished, all data is completely and confidentially wiped before distributing. If you would like a box to place at your work or business, please let us know. Students are ready and eager to provide them.

The boxes will be at the front desk for the next two weeks. Questions? Please contact Jessica Wash, PCA Robotics Director, at jessica.wash@plymouthchristian.org. Thank you in advance for helping our Robotics Team serve our armed forces in this special way!
