Each year, PCA elementary students participate in the “Fun Run”. Some students really enjoy this run, but others face the day with some apprehension. All responses to this run are completely understandable!

The “Fun Run” is the culmination of a year long progressive program to increase cardiovascular endurance in the students. Throughout the year, in physical education, students increase their running times and distance. National Standards are set by the Presidential Fitness Challenge. The students compete, in a exciting environment, in the following distances.

    1st and 2nd Grade- 1/4 mile
    3rd and 4th Grade- 1/2 mile
    5th and 6th Grade- 1 mile
