An Introduction to the Parent Teacher Fellowship at PCA

You’ve probably heard the term, “PTF” at PCA, but you may not be sure what it means. We thought we’d take a few minutes to bring you up to speed about the PCA parent organization and let you know why you should be interested.

The leaders of the Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) believe that strong parent involvement is a key to student success. In addition to the success of our children, we also believe that we are called to serve the Lord and encourage one another. With this in mind, the mission of the PTF was established: Seeking to provide opportunities for parents to support the ministry of Plymouth Christian Academy, to serve and encourage the faculty, and promote community and fellowship among parents and staff.

In addition to giving back and serving our school, volunteering touches our hearts as we invest our time and build friendships along the way.

What does the PTF do at PCA?
Encourage & support PCA Faculty & Staff:

    • Prayer Partners-meet every Monday morning to cover our staff, students and campus in prayer
    • Teacher wish-list items for classrooms
    • Hosting of events such as Staff Soup Luncheons, Christmas Party, and Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
    • Provide fresh fruit weekly in teachers’ lounges
    • Provide coffee and supplies for the teachers’ lounges

Promote school spirit and community:

    • Host PCA Family Picnic
    • First Families Program
    • School Clean Up Days
    • Volunteer Coordination
    • Popcorn Fridays
    • PCA Skate Night Party

How can you support the PTF?

  • Popcorn purchases
  • Subway Lunch Sales
  • Skate Night Party at Skatin’ Station

We invite you to join us at one of our meeting, held monthly throughout the school year. For more information about the PTF and a list of our meeting dates, please visit the PTF WEBPAGE or email Peggy Paulson at peggy.paulson@plymouthchristian.org. We sincerely appreciate your support!

“Therefore encourage one another, and build each other up…” I Thessalonians 5:11
