An Encouraging Word

Date: Nov 23, 2015 Tags: School NewsAs we look toward celebrating Thanksgiving this week, I thought it might be nice to think of some new ways to start new traditions that would encourage our students to build caring into their character. Here are a few ideas you might want to try.
-
1. Set aside a few moments on Thanksgiving to read the story of the first Thanksgiving.
2. Read a Thanksgiving poem or prayer at dinner.
3. Have each family member read a favorite Bible
verse before dinner.
4. Invite a widow, single person or someone who is
lonely to share in your family Thanksgiving.
These are a few ways we can help our children understand what caring and gratitude mean. I trust you all will have a blessed Thanksgiving!
I am praying for you!
