An Encouraging Word

How many of us have set aside the Bible verse each week when doing homework with our children? I remember as a parent worrying about math, reading, language, science, social studies and spelling homework, but when it came to learning the Bible verse I would say, “Ok we will work on that if we have the time. It doesn’t count anyway.” Oh my! Was I ever wrong! What I learned later is that learning God’s Word pleases God and it sharpened my children’s mind for their other subjects. God honors and blesses those people who learn the Word. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Let’s purposefully help our children learn God’s Word and show them how important knowing God and His Word is to us as parents.

I am praying for you, Mrs. Huntsman
