An Encouraging Word

Welcome to a new school year! As we begin the 2015-16 school year as PCA parents, I think it is fair to say that many of us are hoping this year will be our children’s best year ever! As I was thinking about this, I was reminded of a wonderful verse in the Bible. “And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you” (Psalm 39:7). Our hope needs to be in the Lord, and there is hope for the future when we put our trust in Him. As parents, I know that you have great hope for this school year. You are trusting God to help your children to have a wonderful experience. When we pray and ask Him to protect and care for our children each day, then we can trust and hope in the fact that whatever happens to them each day has passed before Him, and He is allowing each circumstance to come their way. We can hope in the fact that He created your children and knows what is best! What a wonderful blessing it is that we have hope in God! It gives us as parents the ability to trust that God is in control. In Jeremiah 29:11 we read, “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope’”! Praise the Lord! God cares for all of us and has a plan to give us hope! As this new school year begins, I am so thrilled that we can partner together in your children’s education!

I am praying for you!
Mrs. Huntsman
