A Tremendous Outpouring

Today, students across the nation took part in a school walkout in protest of gun violence in our country. At PCA, we recognize these difficult times for our students and wanted to provide them the opportunity to come together to address their concerns. This morning, 59 PCA secondary students chose to spend time together in the gym in prayer. They prayed for our nation and for the 17 families who lost a loved one in the Margory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. We witnessed a tremendous outpouring of their hearts in prayer to our one true God.

Individually and as a school we are encouraged by II Chronicles 7:14 where we read “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

We praise the Lord for His comfort and realize our conversation is broader than even laws about guns. We will continue to pray for our amazing nation and ask for His protection as we serve Him.
