A Time of Transition

It is with a sad heart that we report that Ledia Dittberner, 4th grade teacher, has retired from PCA We are so grateful for all of her years of service to our families and our school. Her heart has been to prepare students for their calling in God’s service and she has done this with excellence. Although we are sad to see her leave, we wish her all the best as she moves into this new chapter in her life.

After receiving the news of Ledia’s departure, we asked the Lord for his direction in providing a teacher to replace her. We are excited to announce we have hired Mrs. Abby Garcia to fill the positon. Abby is a former Baptist Park teacher and is currently an interventionist with Lincoln Park Public Schools. Abby will start on February 13th. Abby is thrilled about returning to Christian education.

The following is a brief introduction of Mrs. Garcia in her own words. “I am first and foremost a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. I have been married for three years to my husband, Jon. This past May, we had our first baby, Harrison. I was a teacher at Baptist Park for two years and recently an instructional assistant at Keppen Elementary. I learned so much from both of these experiences, and they have shown me that I truly love teaching in a Christian environment. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a Math Specialization and a Middle School Endorsement from Liberty University. I have a passion for teaching, and I love watching students learn.”

Welcome Mrs. Garcia!
