Band instruction begins in the fifth grade. Small group instruction offers the students the opportunity to learn their instrument in a sequential manner. Elementary students participate in the Christmas and Spring Concerts.
 

Middle school and high school students further develop their skills in intense instruction. Music independence is developed by increased reading and leadership opportunities. Students are encouraged to participate in the Solo & Ensemble and Band festivals offered by MSBOA.
 

Band students participate in the Variety Show, Christmas and Spring Concerts, as well as the auction, homecoming, and graduation. The band also has the opportunity to play in the community parade and to participate in the high school football activities.
