The Regent Board has the responsibility and authority for the establishment, function, and maintenance of Plymouth Christian Academy's programs and fiscal matters. They are guided by the Deacon Board of Calvary Baptist Church as they establish formal policies for the well-being of PCA. The Regent Board is comprised of mature Christians, two-thirds of which are Calvary Baptist Church members and one-third who attend other churches. Each Regent Board member has a passion for the mission of Plymouth Christian Academy and is dedicated to their service to PCA for God's glory.

Jim Zandee - Deacon Board Representative
Jim Zandee is a CPA with an MBA in Finance from Eastern Michigan University. He is currently consulting as CFO in Royal Oak. Jim and his wife Joyce have attended Calvary Baptist for over 20 years. Their two children have been at PCA since preschool. Jim has six years of prior experience on the Regent board, and three years prior experience on the Deacon board. Jim loves to work with kids, and in 2008 started the tennis program at PCA.
Roy Young - Elder Board Co-Chair
Roy Young has a BS in Construction Engineering from Lawrence Tech and has worked in the auto industry, principally the Ford Motor Company, for over 25 years. Roy and his wife Lee Anne, who were married at CBC in 1977, have three children all of whom graduated from PCA. Roy has served on the CBC Board of Elders for much of the last 30 years.
Jim Rich - Regent Board Chairman
Jim Rich has a BS in Business Management and Computer Science from Bob Jones University, and has worked at Chrysler Financial since September 1985. Jim and his wife Ann have three children, Krista, Melissa and Jessica, who have all attended Christian schools. Jim says “A biblical foundation is essential for our young people. PCA helps to lay that foundation that our children will rely on for the rest of their lives, and I want to contribute to that.”
Scott Grit
Scott Grit is serving for the third time on the PCA Board of Regents. He and his wife Renae currently have all three of their chidlren enrolled at PCA. Scott’s education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Calvin College and an MBA in Management from Eastern Michigan University. His past experience with students includes coaching and serving as a Bible Study Fellowship children’s leader. Scott has worked for TRW Automotive for over 25 years, most recently as Chief Engineer of Systems Design. One of his goals in serving on the Regent Board is to see each student grow in wisdom, and in stature, and in favor with God and man.
Jeff Hess
Jeff Hess is a 1992 PCA graduate himself, and also graduated from University of Michigan. Jeff has worked for 16 years at Michigan CAT, the Michigan dealer for Caterpillar. He is currently a 6 Sigma Black Belt and leads a team to implement a new operating system for the whole organization. He and his wife Stephanie have four children, three of them are at PCA. Jeff says, “I am a product of Christian Education and have a passion for it. I want to see PCA’s light for Christ grow ever brighter in this community and around the world.”
Elizabeth Givens
Elizabeth Givens has a BS in Biblical Studies from Philadelphia Biblical University (PBU) and an MA in Communications from Temple University (Philadelphia). She has worked as a writer, editor, and Bible & TESOL teacher with SEND International for 33 years in Michigan, China, and the Philippines. She served on the Plymouth Canton school board from ’96-’04, and has been a PBU trustee for over 20 years. Liz says, “I believe that learning, integrated with a biblical worldview, is the most valuable tool we can give our children. Education has been my life and I advocate the kind of quality and excellence I see at PCA.”
Carlos Johnson
Minister Carlos Johnson, of Back-2-The-Family Ministries, was officially ordained by Pastor Christopher Brooks at Evangel Ministries, in 2005, as Director of the Family and the Master’s Men ministry. Minister Johnson initially answered his call to the ministry in 1991, by working with youth at Oak Grove AME Church under the guidance and training of Bishop Gregory Ingram. He is a faithfully devoted husband and father, a good steward to his church and to the people of God he serves. As God leads him, Minister Johnson will continue his mission of saving families and getting families saved.
Dan Paulson
Dan Paulson holds Bachelors degrees in Business Management and Finance as well as a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from Walsh College. He currently serves as Senior Vice President at Robert W. Baird & Co., specializing in wealth management and holistic financial planning. Dan and his wife Peggy have three children, all of whom have been enrolled at PCA since Kindergarten. Dan serves as a Deacon at Solid Rock Bible Church and chairs the finance team there. Dan says, “PCA teachers and administrators have been a wonderfully positive influence in my children’s lives. I am passionate about expanding PCA’s ability to transform students into Christian leaders who will impact the world for Christ.”
Dianne Rose
Dianne Rose has a BS in Family and Consumer Sciences from the U of Georgia and studied four years with the Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) Institute of Biblical Studies. She was on CCC staff for eight years and also worked in the Christian book industry. Her three children are PCA grads. Dianne used to work for the PCA Head of School. Dianne says, “Adults and children choosing to live with a biblical worldview will impact eternity and positively influence the world anywhere they live, study or work their entire lives. I want to be a part of PCA’s continued effectiveness and growth in a changing world.”
Margaret Rand
Margaret Rand has a BS in Business Administration from Lawrence Tech and MS in Health Care Administration from Central Michigan University. She also completed a Graduate Certificate in Bible from Moody Theological Seminary. Margaret has worked at the Detroit Medical Center in Risk Management since 1985. She has served on the board of two insurance companies, as well as the AAA Crisis Pregnancy Center in Livonia. She has been involved in teaching children in the church setting for most of her adult life.
Dave McCreedy
Dave McCreedy is a lead appellate attorney in the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, and holds degrees from the University of Michigan Law School and Kalamazoo College. He also serves as an adjunct professor of political science at Concordia University Ann Arbor, and is an elder at Geneva Presbyterian Church in Canton. Dave and his wife, Missy, are newer members of the PCA community, with two girls enrolled in early elementary. Dave believes that "no true education can ignore the central event in human history -- the incarnation of God on earth -- or the person who holds the very universe together -- Jesus Christ. I am happy to serve at PCA, where these truths form the foundation for everything else."
Jon Jipping
Jon Jipping is serving for the third time on the PCA Board of Regents. He and his wife Lisa have both their high school children enrolled at PCA. Jon earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Calvin College and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Michigan. Currently, Jon is the Chief Operating Officer at ITC Holdings, headquarted in Novi; he has been with the company since its formation in 2003 and has held a variety of executive management and leadership positions. With a family tradition of education (Jon's father was a high school teacher and his brother is a college professor) one of his goals in serving on the Regent Board is to see each student have an outstanding Christian education.
Dwayne Roi
Dwayne Roi has a Fire Science degree from Madonna University. Dwayne is the Senior Estimator/Project coordinator at Tri Star Fire Protection, where he has been employed for 27 years. Dwayne & his wife, Vesna, have been married for 23 years and have two girls who are currently enrolled at PCA. The Rois have been actively involved members of NorthRidge Church for 10 years. Dwayne is honored to have the opportunity to serve on the Regent Board so he can give back something for the education and Christian growth his family has experienced at PCA. Dwayne’s hope is to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ and do the work God has planned for him at PCA.
