PCA Athletics
The athletic program at PCA advances the mission of the school.  It affords all students opportunities for intellectual and social growth in a number of areas, including: kinesthetic and spatial skills development and mastery; self-discipline and self-knowledge; and the principles of civility and community. The program promotes fair and age-appropriate competition. In addition, the program complies with the policies, guidelines, and recommendations of the MIAC.  We maintain excellence in our athletics, regarding sports as a key part of our comprehensive educational atmosphere. Our experienced coaching staff serve as Christian role models and examples of excellence, while our students abide by our code of conduct.

Several of our students are involved in sports at PCA.  A current physical form and our standard yellow permission/liability form must be on file in the Athletic Office in order for a student to participate in tryouts, practices, or games.  A physical dated April 15, 2011 or after is considered a current physical and is good for the entire 2011 -2012 school year. We encourage students to get their physicals in early.

Game Schedules are available by clicking the "Athletic Schedule" in the left column or by clicking here to go to highschoolsports.net. CHECK YOUR STUDENT’S GAME SCHEDULE FREQUENTLY AS CHANGES OCCUR DURING THE SEASON.  A “5-Day” view of events will be initially displayed. You may select another tab to view a month at a time or a team?s season schedule. To view a team?s season, click on the "Season" tab, click the down arrow in the Team Select box, select the team name from the drop-down list, and click the "GO" button. To find more information regarding a game and to find directions to events in the 5-day view and the monthly view, click on the individual event. If you are in the "Season" view, click on "Event Information". Directions from PCA to the game are usually shown here on this "Event Information" page along with other information that may be pertinent to the game. Please note that some games are played at other facilities and not necessarily at the opponent’s school. If you click on the word "Directions" under the name of the opponent school name (or other location given for the game) on the left side of the page, the link will take you directly to www.MapQuest.com where you can request directions to the school or the game location address. You will have to input the address that you want the directions to originate from – for example, your home address. There is also an option to select other schools to view their game schedules by clicking on the "Change School" box near the top of the page; however, all schools do not participate with this website. Also if you click on the opponent school’s name in the "Season" view, the website will now take you directly to that school’s game schedule page on highschoolsports.net as well. Another feature is that you can REGISTER TO RECEIVE E-MAIL NOTIFICATION of changes to the schedules. If you have any questions, contact the Athletic Office.
