PCA Theatre is a program founded in the righteousness of God, academic and performance-based excellence, and a strong sense of commitment to telling the important stories recorded in plays, musicals, and other theatrical experiences. Plymouth Christian Academy currently offers middle school and high school theatre courses as well as a History of Film course (for those more interested in theatre of the screen). In the 2016-2017 school year, PCA Theatre produced two musicals: Little Women the Musical and West Side Story. This year PCA Theatre will present Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing (Dec 15-16) and Disney’s The Little Mermaid (March 15-17). The theatre program strongly encourages academic study within the classroom as well as experience in the after school productions. Students of all backgrounds are welcome to get involved in PCA Theatre – to experience it for the first time and to keep coming back for more.
PCA Dance is an exciting new program added to the PCA Fine Arts Department last year. Students interested in dance may enroll in the Choreography course, audition for the musical, and take trips to see professional performances throughout the year. PCA Dance is firmly rooted in dance study as Christian artists and as human beings wanting to create through the unique expression of movement.
